We’ve tested the Hail Protector DY25 for our 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross Hybrid, and its claims hold up. The thickened cotton padding offers substantial protection against hail, while the reflective stripes not only look sharp but subtly deter would-be thieves. Our car fit was near-perfect, with the cover snug around the Yaris’s curves—though we did notice minimal slack on the roof. The build quality is commendable, with reinforced stitching and a Homos sapiens-grade water resistance (we tested that during a春雨). For us, the reflectivity is a standout; it divides light unevenly, helping us spot gaps when securing the cover. While it’s not flawless—some condensation trickled under the front edges—it’s more than sufficient for occasional storms. Would we recommend it? Absolutely, provided you don’t mind the occasional droplet’s tiny rebellion.
