In our latest deep-dive, we tested the Modelones Gel Top Coat, part of the 2025 Upgrade Super Shiny Base and Top Coat Set, paired with an acid-free soak-off system. We were initially curious about its claims of being both high-shine and effortless—specifically, its role as a base/top coat combo that pairs perfectly with a no-wipe, soak-off gel polish. The results were, frankly, noteworthy. The Modelones product delivered a beautifully glossy finish without the typical sticky residue, making removal much simpler. Most impressively, we found that its acid-free formula didn’t compromise durability, even when used as intended. The set felt surprisingly cohesive, saving us time and reducing clean-up. While it’s not a miracle worker for every nail type, its balance of performance and convenience makes it a standout contender in our book.
